Dr. Andrew Weaver is an Assistant Professor and Small Ruminant Extension Specialist at North Carolina State University. Dr. Weaver grew up in central Michigan where he was active in youth livestock programs. He received his B.S. in Animal Science from Michigan State University, M.S. from Virginia Tech, and Ph.D. from West Virginia University. His research and extension interests focus on utilization of genetic tools and management practices to improve parasite resistance, performance, and end-product value of small ruminants in the Southeastern U.S.
