Alternatives to traditional parasite control

Growing and widespread resistance to commonly-used anthelmintics necessitates the need for alternative methods of internal parasite control in small ruminants. Many members of the American Consortium for Small Ruminant Parasite Control have been conducting studies to evaluate the potential of alternative dewormers, as well as the worm-killing fungus product BioWorma®.  There is a separate page with links pertaining to copper oxide wire particles, as an alternative to traditional dewormers.
